Shell-model calculations for the three-nucleon system
We use Faddeev’s decomposition to solve the shell-model problem for three nucleons. The dependence on harmonic-oscillator excitations allowed in the model space, up to 32h̄Ω in the present calculations, and on the harmonicoscillator frequency is studied. Effective interactions derived from Nijmegen II and Reid93 potentials are used in the calculations. The binding energies obtained are close to ...
متن کاملShell - model calculations with modern nucleon - nucleon potentials
We report on a study of neutron-rich even-mass Te isotopes in terms of the shell model employing a realistic effective interaction derived from the CD-Bonn nucleon-nucleon potential. The strong short-range repulsion of the latter is renormalized by constructing a smooth low-momentum potential , V low−k , that is used directly as input for the calculation of the effective interaction. In this pa...
متن کاملFour-nucleon shell-model calculations in a Faddeev-like approach
We use equations for Faddeev amplitudes to solve the shell-model problem for four nucleons in the model space that includes up to 14h̄Ω harmonic-oscillator excitations above the unperturbed ground state. Twoand three-body effective interactions derived from the Reid93 and Argonne V8’ nucleon-nucleon potentials are used in the calculations. Binding energies, excitations energies, point-nucleon ra...
متن کاملA Minimal Relativistic Model for the Three Nucleon System*
. A start is made on disentangling relativistic kinematic effects from “three body forces” by presenting a minimal relativistic model in which the internal mesonic degree of freedom is treated on the same footing as the nucleonic degrees of freedom. The meson is not allowed to appear asymptotically, specifying the two-nucleon “off shell” amplitudes which can be used to calculate the three nucle...
